Actually Mike, that little gizmo was my brainchild back when I had my PANTERA shop in San Diego in the 1981-1982-1983 years.
I went to work for Hall PANTERA in 1985 and Bob, Don and I became the “Three Amigos”. I showed my little invention to Gary one day, he freaked out and over the next two months I built him about 1,500 of the nutsert and mount plate which he then marketed.
They can never fail. I’ve still got a bunch of them that I’ve never used !!
