[DeTomaso] Re-chroming exhaust tips question?

The last set of “slip on” tips I bought, were sourced from Hall Pantera. I believe nearly all the vendors offer them. Some people will pop rivet them on, but over time, the rivets tend to loosen up and rattle. I took my car to a local muffler shop and had the guy spot weld them in place (making removal possible if need be). Six years later, they still look great with nary a rattle.
