Dear Mike,

Short answer is that yes, it should be possible, but it might not match the other side when you’re done.
$$$$ That did occur to me.......

Stock mufflers and small-diameter tailpipes are VERY restrictive.
$$$$ Right, but they bolt right up to my Big Bore Headers and a well known Pantera personality told me that they look better and sound better than the Big Bore exhausts, which I also have sitting on a shelf.

So many people have switched to more effective exhaust systems that there are hundreds of stock tailpipes just lying around. It shouldn’t be too difficult to just find what you want rather than hacking up something that isn’t right. Ask and ye shall likely receive.
$$$$ That is a good point.

But I think you would be better off just getting better exhausts.....
$$$$ I think I will wrestle with the smaller problem of a right exhaust replacement rather than the larger proposition of a better exhaust. ....and Gerry Romack has shown that the Ansa mufflers can be gutted and modified for less boom and a bit more HP.

                   Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Chuck,

Short answer is that yes, it should be possible, but it might not match the other side when you’re done.

It shouldn’t be too difficult to just find what you want rather than hacking up something that isn’t right. Ask and ye shall likely receive.

But I think you would be better off just getting better exhausts.....
