[DeTomaso] Pantera Temperature Gauges

Good morning Dave. Honestly, if one grounds the gauge there is very little
impact to the lights being on - but it does require a legitimate ground wire
direct to chassis, not the "ground" that is used on these cars, that goes
from gauge to gauge to gauge and finally to a ground connection.

Don't forget temp. variances when lights are on.

FWIW, when I moved my temp sender on my late pre-L from the coolant tank to
the block (right above the water pump) I verified the accuracy of my temp
gauge with an IR Temp Gun on the block at the temp sender and found the
gauge was accurate to within 5 degrees, and that difference might have
merely been the result of my interpretation of the gauge since it lacks
gradient lines.

Over the years I have heard that the temperature gauges in Panteraas
were a bit off. And, Iave heard that adding a 10 ohm resister in series
with the temperature probe would make the gauge more accurate.
