Is it an epoxy glue? How about liberal amount of a solvent like acetone or MEK and let it soak through?

Guys,

I picked up a beautiful quarter window, temporarily ruined by having a mirror glued to it. I am afraid of damaging it trying to remove it. Using a scraper I was easily able to lift off the glue where the mirror base isn’t. But where it is, it is well and truly stuck!

Looking for ideas. I can’t get under it with a blade. I’m reluctant to use heat to soften the glue, because I’m afraid localized heat from a heat gun could stress the glass and break it.

So, what to I do? I’m tempted to just set it on fire and hope for the best. :)
