[DeTomaso] Deck-lid Striker Plate

Larry, I respect your opinion, but frankly am appalled by your response. No
Mickey Mouse required. The Omni struts were an easy install. No Disney
characters required. Disclaimer though. Pop the trunk and the lid stays
down. Lift the trunk and it stays in place. No worries about warping the
lid or it springing up if the latch fails. The biggest issue I had with
them is they failed after a few years, but now that I know they have a
lifetime O'Reilly warranty, I won't pay for another.

the pressure gets over 120 pounds, then you are risking warping the
deck lid outside of the hinges. No Bueno! My 2 cents

ones I have are NO DOUBT made for a winged deck lid. The car is
sitting in the garage (on the hoist ) with itas mouth open, are
there any little tips anyone has on changing them? Like "one at a

"simultaneously with broom stick holding up deck lid"?etc.. There
always seems to be a proper sequence I learn AFTER doing things.
Like changing A-arm bushings, etc.
A A All help appreciated - and thanks to Mike for "making me" take
off the shocks and turning me on to Larry Stockas stuff.
