[DeTomaso] The Restoration Files - Flush Windshield v/v Stock

I thought the photo was small enough in size, but looks like this didn't get through to the list first time;
Speaking of flush/glue in windshields, I took a photo of Roland Jaeckel's Group 4 car at Le Mans Classic, specifically as I liked the way the his windshield rubber looked. It is a one piece design that eliminates the stainless trim and retains slightly more classic look than the full glue in option. This is the route I would go.

I'm not you Mike and I don't know what you have planned. BUT you asked so
here's my opine.
My thinking is the end result will appear bone stock from the outside,
except for wheel/tire updates.
The real updates would not be obvious from the outside.
All other systems in the car could be updated to your liking but I'd still
retain the original look, including the raised shiny windshield frame.
I would repaint in the original color, what ever that may be. If the front
bonnet has had cooling vents added, I would make it smooth again.Wing? Gone.
Original motor? Preferred but not a deal breaker.
The funny thing is the Pantera seems to make you think it needs to be
"improved" more than most cars.
That's fine if the improvements address power,handling,reliability,safety
and comfort but any changes to appearance are not necessary in my book.
With a stock appearance the car will be worth more if that's important to
you.
I simply like the way it was originally designed and don't see a need to
modify the body other than a front spoiler if you want to go fast.
It all depends on how you plan to use it Mike. It is your car and life is
short so the bottom line is you can do anything you bloody well want!
