Ken,

As one who has had an internal hydraulic throwout bearing for many years I would urge you NOT to go this route. The costs vastly outweigh the benefits. If you still have all the hardware necessary to make the stock style system functional, you should definitely go that route.

Dennis Quella was the only vendor who was an advocate of the hydraulic throwout bearing (he is the one who convinced me to get mine back in the early 1990s), and even he won’t sell them any more. With his age has come wisdom.
