[DeTomaso] Help-Window slow to up!!!

If I read his description correctly he has a separate motor not connected to anything that runs as normal in the down direction but is slow in the up direction. This indicates some resistance in the circuit, most assuredly in the switch. I do not know if the switch can be disassembled and contacts cleaned but if it is an original switch I would recommend replacing with a Bosh replacement available from most vendors or if someone has switched over to the switches from Pantera Electronics there may be some good used ones available. For the cost of switches I would not mess with it.Forest

Subject: [DeTomaso] Help-Window slow to up!!!

  Folks,

Window goes down no problem, I detached the wires to the motor and
wired up a small 12 volt motor to see if its my switch or motor.  The
new "test" motor whirled great on the down but very slow on the up.
Can I assume Switch?  I understand the difference from up/down is
polarity in the switch?  Can the window switch be dissembled and the
contact cleaned?  If not--Best place to get another switch?  Also what
grease should I grease rails, mechanism,etc..  inside door.  Thanks
  !!
