   All,
Some of you may recall my queries some months ago about fabricating ZF
side mounts for an early rear-mount car, such as 2511.
Thomas Tornblom was kind enough to provide photos of the mounts on his
9000-series car. I had been unaware of this design change but thought
it was quite adaptable to 2511 and proceeded to have the fabricator at
Denny Finn?s restoration shop create a similar system.
I provided some 3? x 3? square tubing as a starting point for the
removable mounts, the chassis mount fabrication was all done in house
   by Denny?s fabricator, Dan.
I am quite pleased with the finished product.
   Larry

Been using Brad Penn in my stroker Windsor when Mobil 1 started to drop
   their Zinc content
Just rebuilt it earlier this year with over 10 years of hard use (7500
   rpm all the time)
Engine builder said he could of put the Bearings back in it. We just
Honed the cylinders .005 because I wanted more compression and a
   lighter piston
   Good stuff

   All,
2511 is now fully repaired, primered, filled, primered and then
primered again, with multiple blocking and sanding sessions along the
way. So last week I visited 2511 at Denny?s shop up in Woodburn for an
   on-site inspection prior to paint.
I am quite pleased with the panel fit, uniformity of gaps, some subtle
   custom touches and body lines.
Each panel was wetted down with wax remover in a final inspection for
flaws. Denny, his painter Oscar and I spent at least an hour and while
   Denny?s eye caught a couple, all I saw was a reborn 2511.
Doors and decklids will now be removed so their back sides and the
chassis jambs can be masked off and painted.
The car is then fully reassembled so all exterior panels are painted as
   a single unit.
Cut and polish and then finished off with satin black on rockers and
   lower front valance.
Here?s a shot of Denny sighting in the RH fender... and one of the rear
   decklid
