[DeTomaso] Ebay SCAM ?

Guys, I’ll research


 

 

This car was added to the registry recently
  Not by the seller but by a registry newbie.

So no help there.  I checked and 6676 is new to the registry.  The full VIN THPNND06676,

well “ND” fits with 6676.  No VIN pics were provided.  Perhaps someone should ask for lots of pics,

including all the VIN/ID plates/stamps.  That would help test.  Does seem quite low in price.  

I first assumed that was the starting bid, not the asking price.

 

I also checked and no Registry ‘newbie’ searched the registry for ‘open’ numbers
 in this range.

 

Only known registry users have been searching for 6676, and only since after the posting appeared.

 

If someone says “I have someone local to you who can review the car for me”
. that might scare off a scammer.

 

So asking for all VIN photos and for a local review would be a worthy test.

 

This topic should be sent to the mail forum, I will blind reply all but me and Mike, and forward to the forum.
