 I actually had an oil press indication issue too which only manifested itself on the track. When accelerating down the front straight in a straight line, the pressure gauge would drop by about 50% above 4000 rpm. At lower rpm it was fine. I was nervous about it and limped around the track for the rest of the day, and then nursed the car home, with rock solid pressure indications cruising at 3000-3500 rpm. 

I installed a new sender and that fixed it. It annoyed me that I threw away a track day for a bum indication.....
