[DeTomaso] Molded heater hose ID => Correct Size....

Just changed mine. Used Gates 28469 Heater Hose <https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C2UDJY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1> on the inlet and 5/8 Gates Green Stripe on the outlet. Needed to heat the Green Stripe in hot water and slide right over. I use gator brand clamps from Comp Cams. They are made in Germany, all stainless steel and do not have the grooves so will not cut the hose. I get them from Summitt or Jegs.

     Julian,
Both those hoses are far too short. The original reference was for a
80417 which is 60 inches long, 3/4 inch diameter. After researching
   the
Dayco site I found what we really need is the 80407 which is 60
   inches
long, 5/8 inch diameter. The 406, 405, 404 etc are progressively
     shorter.
     Thanks!
Forest, I just saw your 80406 suggestion which might also work but
   it's
48 inches long. I figure at under $10 each for the 60-inch version,
   why
not get perhaps more than I need rather than perhaps not enough....

     All,
I just opened my box of these Dayco 80417 hoses. They are 3/4 inch
diameter. The Pantera uses 5/8 inch hoses.
     Doh.
Just out of curiosity I tried them out, and they are a rattling loose

Fortunately Amazon has a great return policy.
It would be interesting to know if Dayco sells the same hose in the
     proper size?
