[DeTomaso] Deck lid Shocks for cars with Wings

Don,
As I understand Mark (IPSCO) recommends the same kit for both (but feel free to call and verify), this is because the reaction point is relocated much closer to the wing. In the stock location you have all that added weight of a wing at the farthest point from the fulcrum.
