[DeTomaso] Deck lid Shocks for cars with Wings

In my opinion the stock decklid shocks are mounted too close to the pivot point and using an incorrect strength shock reacts with too much pressure on the decklid when closed and can result in a warped decklid. I have seen at least half a dozen Pantera's with poor shut lines at the upper (hinge) end of the decklid due to incorrect shock use. I know it's obvious to most that gas shocks are gas filled, but Boyle's law still applies to gas in a confined volume so they will exhibit more pressure with higher temperature. The originals have that barely stays open in cold weather syndrome for a reason!

I thoroughly recommend the IPSCO decklid relocation kit that moves the pivot point.

I have a wing on my GT5. Lifting the decklid is a chore. Anyone have
experience using the decklid shocks for cars with wings?
