[DeTomaso] Brake Bleeder Kits

Julian,

I was at the recommended 10 psi when mine failed.

I attribute my failure to years of storage where the hose was kinked right where it attaches to the unit. It weakened the hose and it let go suddenly and without warning. In retrospect I should have cared for it better and ensured the hose wasn’t kinked when it was in its box.....

What pressure are you using to create a geyser? Mine seems to dissipate
   pretty quickly at 5 psi.

   Julian,
Discard the ridiculous chain affair and use a piece of steel or block
of wood on top of the adapter and use a large C-clamp to get a good
   seal.
I am rather less impressed with my Motive Products pressure bleeder
after the hose broke off the nipple on top of the unit and it sprayed
brake fluid all over my car, and all over the motorcycle next to it,
   and all over the garage.
You haven't lived until you have seen a geyser of brake fluid spraying
all over your garage and there's almost no way to stop it!
