[DeTomaso] Brake Bleeder Kits

Mike,

Thanks for the tip on the c-clamp and yes the quick coupler seems overly heavy for the application and tends to kink the hose and stress the nipple on the cover in use, I do recall I had one fail now too, some caps seem weaker than others depending on the ABS casting.

What pressure are you using to create a geyser? Mine seems to dissipate pretty quickly at 5 psi.

Julian,

Discard the ridiculous chain affair and use a piece of steel or block of wood on top of the adapter and use a large C-clamp to get a good seal.

I am rather less impressed with my Motive Products pressure bleeder after the hose broke off the nipple on top of the unit and it sprayed brake fluid all over my car, and all over the motorcycle next to it, and all over the garage.

You haven’t lived until you have seen a geyser of brake fluid spraying all over your garage and there’s almost no way to stop it!
