Excellently put, Marshall! It truly was the most fun, such a great event in every way! I took over 500 pictures, many on the Forza De Tomaso Facebook page (some I had to censor : ). What was very memorable and special for me is that Klaus was so sweet in letting me get to ride with him on the Laguna Seca Racetrack (I didn't have my Pantera up there and I was the right size to fit in his). I've been up to Monterey for over 18 years, climbed up and sat on the hill watching cars come down the famous Corkscrew but this was the 1st time I've ever had the thrill of being on it myself. And I loved the story of how Klaus' daughter, when she was five, named his beautiful brilliant yellow Pantera, "Pasta Rocket." If you haven't heard the story, she heard that Japanese cars were referred to as Rice Rockets, and she cleverly noted Panteras are Italian, thus she named it a "Pasta Rocket!" That's amazing thinking for such a little gal. I adore that story! Now there was a little moose inside on the dash, looking at me, eye to eye... I didn't hear that story yet. Also great was at long last, finally meeting the illustrious and funny Ms. Hopkins, my Facebook Partner in Crime, a.k.a Snowflake's nemesis.
My appreciation and gratitude to all those responsible for this grand time! Sure hope we get to do it again.
Laurie

Subject: [SDP] Forza DeTomaso "Festa" in Monterey!
For the second time in two years, I have just returned from one of the best Pantera rallies that I have ever experienced. Ed Mendez once again knocked it out of the park with his 'Festa' in Monterey last weekend and it was epic! From start to finish, a seamless and well-organized event was held in one of the most beautiful locales on the planet. Dave and Linda Adler, who rounded out the organizational committee for Forza DeTomaso, combined their usual expert event planning with effortless guidance of all who attended. The result was a thoroughly fun time for everyone. From a couple laps of Laguna Seca Raceway to a guided tour of Canepa Design to a photoshoot on the famed 17 Mile Drive, the event could not have gone smoother.
Ed Mendez and Dave and Linda Adler should be commended for taking all the risks, making a ton of effort and producing such a fun 'Festa'. Finally, Pantera owners have a second National event where they can socialize and showcase their wonderful cars. 'This' Pantera Owners Club is all about the members and not about the organization which is how it should be.
I also wish to thank several sponsors of this event. Larry Stock with Pantera Parts Connection, Don Byars at Full Throttle Panteras and Snowflake's owner, Bruce Singer all dug deep to assist this event financially!
I extend a hearty and genuine thank you to Ed, Linda & Dave for their efforts in producing such great Pantera fun! I am very much looking forward to next year's event!
