[DeTomaso] Spinning wheel stud

Two scenarios can occur in my experience a) the stud is simply rotating in the disc hub b) the wheel nut undid a little way, the stud was loose and moved back off the flat. Scenario b is easier to recover from if you can get something behind to push the stud against the disc hub again or the flat of screwdriver to prevent rotation.

It's been a while but I'm not sure there is enough clearance to replace a stud on the stock assembly (I have outboard hats) without disassembly of the axle. So the easiest method is probably taking the hub off with the a-arms and wheel attached, once off you can get in behind to stop the stud rotating or tack weld it.

Guys,

I don't think there is any 'hammer action' if the stud is spinning freely...?
