> Hi Mike! I would agree with your assessment about those asking prices, except...... there are now so many people, not only in the U.S., but around the world, that are literally making money making faster than they can burn it, let alone count it (I'm NOT in that group!), they don't care weather they pay stupid money for a collector car, gun, coins, paintings, whatever catches their eye, because they they have nearly unlimited funds, and making even more money. And with the corporate tax rate dropping from 32% all way down to 21%, that is going to put unheard of billions and trillions of dollars into the hands of those folks to spend. The downside, it is driving more & more fun toys & collector items out of the reach of the middle class. I'm 65, and started buying old advertising signs when I was 17,, because I like them. So many of them are now out of my price range, and still going up! BTW, just got a new appraised value on my 1984, GT5, of $200,000. If something catastrophic happened to the car, I don't know if that would even replace it. Yesterday I was looking at the results of Friday's, Gooding Auction, and a Ferrari Dino (in a rare color), brought $465,000!! And then add on sales tax, and it's over half a million dollars. I still remember, not that many years back, when those little cars, in top condition, struggled to make, $100,000. Yikes! Best regards, mike gilmore If you want to repost this to the "net', it would be interesting to get other collector's thoughts, on the subject.

Hi Mike! I would agree with your assessment about those asking prices,
except...... there are now so many people, not only in the U.S., but
around the world, that are literally making money making faster than
they can burn it, let alone count it (I'm NOT in that group!), they
don't care weather they pay stupid money for a collector car, gun,
coins, paintings, whatever catches their eye, because they they have
nearly unlimited funds, and making even more money. And with the
corporate tax rate dropping from 32% all way down to 21%, that is going
to put unheard of billions and trillions of dollars into the hands of
those folks to spend. The downside, it is driving more & more fun toys
& collector items out of the reach of the middle class. I'm 65, and
started buying old advertising signs when I was 17,, because I like
them. So many of them are now out of my price range, and still going
up! BTW, just got a new appraised value on my 1984, GT5, of $200,000.
If something catastrophic happened to the car, I don't know if that
would even replace it. Yesterday I was looking at the results of

brought $465,000!! And then add on sales tax, and it's over half a

Ed,
There is a modified GTS on Craigslist asking $190k.
Both sellers are hopeless dreamers. Ain't never gonna happen....
