Hi...
Years ago I had a Local Shop that built Circle Track Cars Press out the Stock Bushings and Install New Stock Bushings! Don't remember the Cost? Knowing Me I'm sure at the time I thought it was kinda expensive? But after picking them up, Cleaning, Paint and back on the Car in a few days...For me, It was worth it! I don't have the Tools or the Expertise to do it myself!
Good LuckCurt

So does one take his A arm to a machine shop with a press and trust

I'll have to check my notes, but I didn't burn it out.  I think I did
it with drill bits or Dremel type devices.

  Julian,
Youare right. Because of the difficulty of pressing out the stock
bushings, for a time one vendor was selling undersize poly bushings
that were designed to press not into the A-arm, but rather into the
remnant of the stock bushing. You would have to remove the rest of it
somehow, perhaps by burning it out?
  Mega-dumb idea IMHO.
