Interesting.
Places like Gooding and Bonhams cater to a high-end crowd and are the best venues for a good, original, stock or stock-ish De Tomaso.
BJ, Mecum, Russo & Steele etc cater more towards the knuckle-dragger hot-rod set, and would be a better venue for the modified cars.
I think the people who consigned good stock cars to those latter outfits likely made a big mistake. Perhaps so big that a wise man flush with cash could get a screaming deal in Scottsdale in January and make a hefty profit in Monterey in August, selling in a more appropriate venue.
