Not only perfect. You Brits are also always so humble.....
And yes, stainless on stainless threads can present problems. But stainless on the OEM steel threads of the shift linkage shouldn't be an issue.
A stainless turnbuckle that visually/dimensionally matches the OEM unit is also something that has eluded me, so much so that I've given up on that one.
