[DeTomaso] Turn signal switch stuck in high beam position???

It's out, I guess I can try more force, but was hoping someone had a better idea.  I have another also out, and it moves without nearly the force I have applied to the stuck one.
I can see that the end of the rod engages a plastic surface with the hump in the middle.  I guess I should look at the one that works and see how it slides over the hump.
It worked until I cleaned it :  (

Ken,

Is the switch in your hand or mounted on the car?

It can take considerable force to actuate the switch, and if it’s not clamped to something rigid it can feel unnatural to try that hard.

Slide it over a broom handle or something to give it the necessary support, then see if it moves. Don’t go crazy of course.....
