I've never heard of any justification for removing a license plate from a privately owned vehicle.
You drive around with it completely visible. Maybe some smart guy can tell us what is the issue exactly?

    I am getting ready to sell one of my Panteras.  It has just had a restoration finished.  I am going to use a personal YouTube channel for some videos.  I noticed that I have very prominently displayed its current license plate in the videos.  Usually these are blotted out in the internet pictures of a car.  Should I go back and retake the videos with the plate removed??
    
    
    The last one I loaded has the plate very visable
