[DeTomaso] Seat Belts without retractors?

Ken, the only function of retractors is neatness of the belts when not being used. Don't worry about them- as long as they're tight when used.

  Sometime in the past as part of metal restoration, rectangular tubing
  was welded into the rocker panels in my 73.  There is not room for the
  original seal belt extractors.  I have a pair of belts for a GT5S with
  retractors that are not inside the rocker panels, but not happy about
  the appearance.  Is there any downside to just using something like
  this?
