[DeTomaso] What is this engine noise?

Those oil deflectors are removed on my valve covers. I had both covers off when I was checking the rockers but I didn't think to look real hard at the underside of the valve covers. The passenger side one is a pain the butt to get off.
In case anyone doesn't know that already 😊

What valve covers are you using? I’ve experienced the cast aluminum “DeTomaso” valve covers, at times I’d find that the internal baffle that is below the oil filler hole in the valve cover sometimes has interference issues with some on the roller rocker arms rubbing on it as the rocker arm rotates ........
A real quick thing to dismiss or prove. Pull the valve cover (left is easiest) to check and look for signs of rubbing on the sides of the baffle plate(s).

      Best regards,
           Leslie A. Gray
