[DeTomaso] Lubricating Turn Signal Switch???

It looks way too new to jump to the conclusion that it is broken. It has been sitting for a few years and might have some kind of lubricant in it that has gotten solid and is keeping parts from moving as they should. I'm not sure WD40 is a cure all because I don't know how it could react to what ever lubricants are in the switch mechanism.
I'm thinking that first a cleaner and then the right lubricant?

Your other switch is what people refer to as abrokena. More lube wonat make it a

Is there a recommended spray lube for a new switch that has been
sitting for a long time and doesn't move easily?
Another switch looks nearly new, but doesn't hold either right or
left
(i.e., up or down) positions. Any ideas? Maybe just needs lube?
Thanks,
Ken
