[DeTomaso] Trip Odometer reset

My trip odometer reset knob just turns with no effect. The trip odometer
seems to work fine I just can't reset it.

 

I am assuming there is a cable connecting the reset button to the Trip
Odometer.

 

So I suppose the issue could be at the actual reset knob or at the
speedometer. Is one of these components the most likely culprit or should I
just assume I will need to pull both and evaluate?
