[DeTomaso] Is the Clutch pedal effort reduction kit a benefit with a diaphragm pressure plate?

Ken, not sure. Typically, a diaphragm clutch is easier to disengage for a given holding power than a multi-coil-spring clutch, due to the leverage of the diaphragm itself. It's real strong point is, they take less space inside a bellhousing. But some diaphragms are far stiffer than street use requires and are not much fun to drive even with the 'effort reduction system'. I've driven Panteras with Centerforce's 'heavy duty diaphragm clutch' and you can't tell it from any other too-stiff-for-the-street clutch. So it really depends on the strength of the clutch you have now or are planning on, how much effort it takes you or a co-driver to push and the amount of heavy traffic you regularly encounter.

I have a diaphragm pressure plate, will the reduction kit benefit me?
Thanks,
Ken
