[DeTomaso] NPT Shop says I need inner and out tie rod ends??

Ahhh - so what are the things on the inner-end of the tie rods - semi-rounded non tie-rod end thingies or is there a more technical name for the inner tie-rod ends that I am not aware of?? Funny thing, when I was going through my rack, one side had a single cup for the tie-rod end to press against, the other, which I was told was rebuilt by Hall, had two of the little cups. Made for an interesting twitch when turning hard....

If it'a a Pantera they're advising on, the shop should actually look at the car first. There are only outer tie-rod ends...
Good luck dealing with them.

Hi Ken,

General true. This is very easily tested for excessive play or movement.

Sure seems like the outer would wear out sooner?
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Ken
