Good math - had a 53 - 1300 coupe @ 8 when my father bought his new 1955 Normal - they threw it in the deal as it was a rusted out piece of junk to be disposed of. He registered the VIN for me, I buried it in a field - a shell w/ doors and glass, and used the deck lid as the entrance to the “fort” - I was racing go karts at the time. At that time, you just needed a VIN to be a member - with my car being earlier than his, his membership was 195502...At 16, I bought a 61 Super, since I was old enough to drive. Almost killed my friend and I lighting a cigarette and drooling over centerfolds in Playboy as there was no ventilation in our Fort. That’s the short version - had a few more Porsches along the way - but always loved the sound and shape of a Pantera - and still do. Took the Pantera to a big event at California Speedway that PCA puts on annually - with my PCA sticker on the windshield - was looked at curiously until I showed my gold charter membership card - then was allowed to be the first on the track out of “ hundreds” of Porsches. And the stories go on.....

They are just getting a little old and brittle. Don’t really know which tires are harder or softer - would prefer softer ones. I liked the Michelins I had on before - better that the Yokohama’s I replaced - but got a good deal a while back which came with hubs, discs, and the P-7’s. Never on the track - or driven hard - I’m 71 and a bit over all the speed stuff - although did plenty “in the day”. I would all input - Thank You jack - now the longest standing member of the Porsche Club of America - Whoopee. #4846 _______________________________________________ Detomaso Email List is not managed by POCA Posted emails must not exceed 1.5 Megabytes DeTomaso mailing list DeTomaso at server.detomasolist.com http://server.detomasolist.com/mailman/listinfo/detomaso To manage your subscription (change email address, unsubscribe, etc.) use the links above. Hey All: I'm shopping for tires and would appreciate recommendations
from The List. I currently have P-7's - 335/35/ZR17's - rear and
245/40/ZR17's - front. They are just getting a little old and brittle.
Don't really know which tires are harder or softer - would prefer
softer ones. I liked the Michelins I had on before - better that the
Yokohama's I replaced - but got a good deal a while back which came
with hubs, discs, and the P-7's. Never on the track - or driven hard -
I'm 71 and a bit over all the speed stuff - although did plenty "in the
day". I would all input - Thank You jack - now the longest standing
