                Egad!   *Another* way to skin a cat!  Very elegant and I
like the balancing feature.   How did you find the W-Wadeco Industries
"hook"?

This device (design copyrighted and patented by W-Wadeco Industries) mounts
into the second to last pair of bolt holes in the intake manifold.  

It has some unique geometric arrangements due to the need to align precisely
with the pads on the intake manifold....  Just requires a block / manifold
during fab.

The link in the top (between the pieces of angle) allow precise balancing.

                Please see the attachments.   I was shown this gizmo by a
fellow in the Arizona Pantera club *years* ago and I cannot recall his name.
It is not my invention.  I used the chains and leveler method twice and
found it awkward.   After I saw his solution, I copied it with the help of
my local machine shop.   It works very well.    It is obviously very simple.
Two bolts out; bolt it on and torque down the bolts then you're in business.


                There can be interference with high rise intake manifolds
and carbs.  There may be interference with your EFI set-up.  

                 I have used it often over twelve years and it is now a one
man job, but it is always wise to have a helper , if available.

I thought I would ask the collective this question.

 

I am preparing to do the dry assembly of my car (post body work, pre paint).
I am running an IR fuel injection system.  I realize that we install the
motor and ZF coupled together.  I remember seeing and reading suggestions
regarding installing a motor that involved different attachment points to
make things easier.  Obviously using a bolt plat to the carb mount is not
going to work for me.  I would also like to install the motor, if possible,
with the throttle bodies mounted.  This may preclude taking a strap to the
front of the motor due to throttle body clearance issues although I'm not
sure

 

I remember seeing a bracket that mounted to the top bellhousing/block bolts
and then curved over the motor.  Is this something I should fabricate?  I
can certainly make one with little effort..  I am planning on putting the
motor in and taking it out several times during the dry assembly process.

 

Suggestions would be appreciated as I'm pretty sure my marriage cannot
survive this process if I have to involve my wife.
