I have a similar bracket and use an eye bolt to accept hoist hook.

Lynn,

Pat Mical sells an engine removal bracket like you describe. It bolts to the top two bellhousing bolts and curves forward, over the oil pressure sender, which is the center of balance point of a typical engine/gearbox combo. It has a loop to accept a hoist hook. It is a VERY stout bracket.

You could make one yourself but you have to trust your fabricating and welding skills. You would not want to have the whole works hovering over your car and then have your loop separate from your curved bracket!
