Hurrah for Dan, Dave and Great Lakes! Hurrah for Peter, Asa, and John (THE best tequila evAr!)

Believe ASA: had several people at the Colorado Mile tell me I had the coolest car . . .if oldest and slowest!

Go Team Pantera!!!

Dateline Ely, Nevada

Gerry Romack, current President of the Pantera Owners Club of America has successfully run the SSCC Rookie School in Las Vegas, and just this morning passed tech inspection at the car show in Ely. Tomorrow he will be racing in the 105 MPH class in his first Open Road Race. Along with former POCA President Dennis (Mad Dog) Antenucci running in the 125 MPH class, the team has Mark Skwarek and Paul Katchadourian also taking on the course. Along with the racers this year, Peter Menyhart, John Bentley and Asa Jay Laughton are crewing for the team.

Gerry's Yellow Pantera arrived with a couple of minor problems the crew jumped in early to sort out. The engine from Dave McLain is running strong thanks to herculean efforts of the Great Lakes Pantera members swapping it in at the eleventh hour. Gerry is very pleased and is excited to complete the race tomorrow.

Team Pantera is really happy to have Gerry at the event this year to round out the number of vintage Italian classic muscle cars. Still a head turner at over 45 years old, the Pantera is one of the most recognized and asked about cars at Open Road Race events.

Wish the team good luck. 90 miles of go-fast and the team will once more prove the Pantera is one of the best race-on-Sunday cars around.
