[DeTomaso] Adjusting front hood latch

The loop is to stick your finger through to pull the cable.

Jim,
Matt offers excellent advice. Here is an excellent photo showing the primary and secondary cables both attached to the latch in the same place. The secondary cable goes through a small hole in the side of the sheet metal into the space above the pedals.
Here is a terrible photo of the other end of the cable. Inexplicably it had a loop in it? This is looking directly up from the gas pedal.
This is very simple to do. Your car should have come with something like this from the factory?
