[DeTomaso] Ooh. That's gotta hurt....:(

I have been there and almost done that in the Ultima, it's far too easy on a wet/slick road and/or cold tires. Fortunately in my case there was a side road right where I lost it and I ended up facing down it having had no prior intention of making a right turn, just along for the ride at that point!


I was surprised the whole font clip came off with little to no other visible damage on the front and as you say Mark, mostly superficial damage on the rear. I'm sure it will still hurt; both pride and pocket book.

That is very unfortunate but thankfully he wasn’t hurt. The damage might look extreme in the article photos, but having viewed many crash videos, I don’t think it takes much of a prang to get carbon bodies to smash up like that. Had he been in a Mondeo the visual damage would likely be much less dramatic, and the police would have just chalked it up to wet and slick roadways.
