[DeTomaso] Nor-Cal Pantera fire update :<(

Oh yes, for sure. After the storms in Texas and Florida we made a concerted effort to organize the stuff we had scattered around the house (flashlights, batteries, radio, tent, sleeping bags, MREs, etc) into a consolidated pile right by the bedroom door to the back yard, so I. The event of a big-ass earthquake that wiled out the house, we would be able to survive in the yard for quite awhile. Got a 55-gallon drum of treated water too.
Her cars also have mini bug-out bags with space blankets, granola bars, water, etc. because stuff can easily go down when you are away from home.
But fire evacuation is an entirely different story. We are about to undertake a drill where she has to push some Sciroccos into the street and motorcycles out of the way to get her Pantera out of the garage--prepared to evacuate if I'm not around (which is more often than not).
You don't want to be thinking about that sort of thing for the first time when flames are licking against your fences!

Julian,
Another important point: unless you have special riders on your policy,
normally firearms and jewelry are specifically excluded from homeowners
insurance coverage. That's one reason why when people evacuate, besides
important documents and mementos, they normally take their guns and
jewelry....

Video is a great idea. I had mine inspected, certified and a written
report done by qualified agent,
who was also a Pantera owner. But it is something you need to update as
you add things (like we
all do) to your car. Going to do a video tonight.

Call it coincidence, but I called my insurance carrier (Grundy) to
