[DeTomaso] NPC Auto Transport Companies

Over the years, I've used most of the mentioned transport companies. Back in the mid-1990s, I sold a NISMO Group C car to Nissan Motor Corp. (a long story), and they sent Horseless Carriage to pick it up. HC was a totally first class operation with state of the art equipment. I've used them a few other times for special vehicles, and they have never disappointed. Unless things have really changed, they would be my first choice if money is no object.
On the other hand, I like to save money whenever possible. So I've used brokers and even Uship. These are more of a crap shoot, but you can save a lot of money. In my experience, enclosed shipping is worth the extra money because the only damage I ever suffered with a transport company happened with the big, open air transporters (damaged the bottom of a race 914, and broke the windshield on a 911).
It comes down to how much risk are you comfortable with to save shipping dollars? As they say, "You pays your money and you takes your chances".
