[DeTomaso] Tire Size

Great find. Note that many of those old school tires are still 140+ mph
tires. So for those seeking "originality" - this is a good site.

Even great 14 inch tires for old Ferrari's.

Michelin TBs are found here - [4]http://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/index
In fact, Longstone sells almost all of the vintage sizes for 7" and 8"
with 3-5 choices for each wheel.
I have never shopped for the vintage tires before so I just learned
   this about 10 minutes ago.
With the Longstone options and the ones already discussed, there must
be a half dozen instantly available tires for an early narrow bodied
   car?
Amazing...stock sized vintage or high performance competition tires all

It is a good time to be on 15" wheels right now.

A A If you just need street tires, I think there are other options
   that
A A would look a lot better, but they won't be rated for high speeds
   in
A A excess of 140 MPH or so.
A A For racing in the Silver State, I bought 17 and 18" wheels and
   then
A A put good z-rated rubber on that met the same stock diameter.AA
   You

A A If you like the Campy's (and who wouldn't), I would encourage you
   to
A A invest in a set of vendor supplied Campy clones in a larger
A A diameter, probably 17 and 18.AA If I had the money, I would go
   for a
A A set from Marino Perna of Pantera East.
A A Just my two cents,
