[DeTomaso] Chasing Classic Cars Mangusta

Funnily enough Season 8, Episode 5 was on Velocity today. Wayne finds a '78 280Z 2+2 that has been stored since 1979 and only 2,274 miles on it. During the scenes of working on the Datsun, there's a Red Mangusta with gold Campi's in view up on a lift in the next bay.
I couldn't believe Wayne was advocating using the original Datsun tires, on the basis they had zero miles on and were stored in the corner of a garage! 40 year old tires are an accident waiting to happen.

Southeast Panteras were present at the Amelia Island Consours yesterday.
Big thanks to our own Steve Dubas and his wife who coordinated the event
and staged our entourage at his house before the show so we could ensure we
got on the field together. We had 5 Panteras, and 2 Qvale Mangusta (one was
a member's, the other hopefully will be a member soon). I got face time
with Wayne and asked him why he as not done a Pantera yet. He said the
cars are whatever we find, but they will be doing a Mangusta this season.
He was a very gracious man taking time out between filming to chat.
