[DeTomaso] When did the bumpers change ?

I'm curious to know when the Pantera bumpers changed from the "tidy" early
bumpers to the "5 MPH"  ones mandated for importation into the US ?

I have it in my mind that this was done for the '73 model year ...... but
does anyone know the approximate VIN# when the change took place ?

I have #2163 which was produced in October '71 and it has the "tidy"
bumpers.

I'm not looking for the exact VIN# when the change was made ...... just a
good approximation.
