Dave,

I had good luck with lacquer thinner softening powder coat enough so it can be removed.

I have an uncleanable ZF because some previous doofus had it powder coated.
It sounds as though Rub n' Buff might just help me out.
I'd sooner be rid of the coating, but clean would be a big improvement.
