[DeTomaso] Slow cranking when hot

We offer the IMI gear reduction starter as our stock replacement starter.
All of what I have read on this thread is true, but no one has mentioned
about the difference in 71 vs 72 and later blocks. There is a difference
in the casting of the 1970-71 blocks that makes them particularly hard to
turn over hot. I found this out doing a quick Silver State engine change
one night, everything was the same, just changed out the long Block,
instant hard hot start issue with the D1 block over the D2 block. The Hi
Tourque starter we were offering helped, but he the IMI starter is that
much better again than a conventional High Tourque starter. I¹m sold, and
I have been offering them ever since.
