Hi, as discussed previously last time I washed my '71 was surprised to find
glove box full of water.
Conclusion was that it is probably my windshield seal that is leaking; I
removed vent grilles and found water drain tube to perfectly clean, so water
could not accumulate in there.
Conclusion is, it must have been a windshield seal; I will try to apply some
silicone sealant around to help the problem.
Mike suggested removing the windshield and reinstalling new seal, but I am
really afraid not to bend the windshield trim in the process; it is very
early trim that is in just 2 pieces, joint in middle.
At same time this was discussed various members comet that they would never
use water hose and shampoo to wash their cars..could you please let me know
how do you really clean the car without use of water?
I am afraid not to actually do more damage to the paint if I try to just
wipe-off the dirt which often contains sand and other debris..
Any special products/techniques used?
How about cleaning underneath the car; is steam wash OK or it could actually
put the humidity inside rails causing future rust?
Thanks a lot, Robert
