[DeTomaso] Techno question: Rear Jack Plate

Chuck,

Short answer--yes. 

I would suggest using Delrin (hard black plastic) instead of aluminum, as it is hard enough to do the job, yet sacrificial if you bottom out. 

I cut a piece that is just slightly thicker than the chassis lip that constantly can get whanged, drilled countersunk holes, then attached to the underside using countersunk screws. Works great!
