Tapped certainly, Macmaster Carr has anything I'd need.  The challenge would
be a hydraulic hand pump that would generate enough pressure.  I know this
thing's gonna pop when finally comes off.

Just an abstract thought I had....
Could the bushing ID be tapped, a plug made to fit, then a Hydraulic Hand
Pump be used to force it off.  Thus no pounding on the crack

...I'd have a smooth entry for a socket or other to try the grease/wet
tissue/string cheese and a hammer.  Yes, I had one guy at a local shop said
