[DeTomaso] I found the problem

All,

One year there was a fellow at the fun rally whose Pantera starting making Expensive Noises from the front of the engine and it was vibrating too. Opening it up revealed the same problem. 

Fortunately it's easy to fix. Might as well take the opportunity to fit a superior damper from Pioneer/Powerbond. Also make sure you use a proper damper puller/installer tool. You can rent them for free from any auto parts store.
