[DeTomaso] Tie rod thread size

More mis-information... 1/2-20 does NOT cross to a 14mm metric thread!!!!!

Metric to SAE conversion tables are all over the internet. A Simple search will give you the correct answer...

14mm is very close to 9/16... a 9/16-18 MAY fit a 14mm - 1.5 as they are VERY close but not exact.

Julian is correct; further, it is one of the few metric threads that cross-references to SAE. Our 1/2"-20 fine thread fits. I use SAE jam nuts and SAE heim-joints of that thread in my own steering with zero ill effects. Cheers- J Deryke

I believe the tie rods are 14mm x 1.5 thread pitch.

Can anybody tell me the size of the threaded male end of the steering
rack?
I am working on a hemi-joint rod end conversion.

Thanks,
John
