Hi guys--got this today from Geoff Peters in the U.K. (Best man at my wedding at the POCA Fun Rally, you may recall him if you were there). He wrote:

He said the thing that saved his feet from being burnt from the steam was that he was wearing booties which were fashionable in them days! After that incident he was less excited about driving it! He did say he thought it was a very fast car though and very good looking.
